DEVELOPING DRAWING SKILLS
To create the storyboards to the Set Design project, I looked at my first sketches which I completed to Adelina's session in the city centre. I also looked at other artist's examples on the internet which really inspired me. I had to create a story boards to explain 11 pages of a Script in visually. The script itself is not really exciting but I found very enjoyable and inspiring to create the boards.
In my first attempt, I used a vertical layout in my board, however I realized that the horizontal layout is much better to my eyes.
First, I did an extended script breakdown and I started to think what camera positions I want to use and show the characters in each scene. It was very helpful in creating each image to the board.
The next step was to collect the main point from each scene and start sketching my ideas:

Finally, I wanted to make the board more exciting, so I took out my digital pen and shaded the images in Photoshop. I quite like the result:

FEBRUARY 16, 2016
Today we went to Manchester city centre to draw a story board from anything we found to be a nice story.
The story board which I created in 1,5 hour about live people in the bar

Me, Irtaqa and Bilal went to Printworks - Chiquito Bar and watched the people around us. I drawed a mother and daughter couple from the point of they entered the bar through ordering their meal until the waiter brought their food out. We had got 1,5 hour to produce these drawings. It was a bit hard to sketch people around me as they always moved but I enjoyed it.
This exercise was preparing us to our current modul - set design's stroy boards. However it will be easier as we won't be in a rush drawing. :) I can't wait to draw the story boards for the drama script. I love drawing.
